New warranty label for selected detectors
Spectrex and Emerson are introducing a new destructible warranty label on selected flame and open-path gas detectors. The label is placed across an enclosure joint and will tear if the unit is opened, making it clear when the detector has been disassembled. It does not affect normal installation, operation, or authorised service procedures.
To help us continue supporting you as effectively as possible, please make sure the label remains intact. If it is removed, altered, or damaged, the manufacturer’s warranty will no longer apply, which means our options for warranty support will be limited.
The label itself has been designed for the same demanding environments as the detectors. It uses a high-performance industrial adhesive tested for extreme temperatures, humidity, UV exposure, chemicals, abrasion, and normal handling. Under normal installation and operating conditions, it is intended to remain secure and legible throughout the product’s service life, and should only be damaged if the enclosure is opened.
No action is needed beyond avoiding unauthorised opening of the enclosure. If you are ever unsure, please contact our team before proceeding. We are always happy to help.
