The Spectrex SharpEye 40/40C-I IR3 Quad-Sense flame detector is equipped with the latest technology in flame detection and is part of the next generation SharpEye 40/40 series.
The Quad-Sense technology uses four independent IR sensors all placed in the invisible infra-red spectrum to detect hydrocarbon fires. Using this technology Spectrex creates an enhanced performance, advanced long-distance detection of hydrocarbon fires up to 65 m, fast detection in typically under 5 seconds and strengthened reliability. The Spectrex SharpEye 40/40C-I IR3 Quad-Sense flame detector is used and suitable for a large variety of applications, including but not limited to tank storage farms, aircraft hangars, loading/unloading facilities, waste handling and storage facilities. Because of the high quality, SIL 3 approval and MTBF of over 150.000 hours this model can operate in safety critical applications and harsh environments.
