The Ultra Fast Spectrex SharpEye 40/40D-LB UV/IR flame detector is the latest ultra fast UV/IR flame detector with extended detection distances of up to 28 meters and is part of the Next generation SharpEye 40/40 series.
The Ultra Fast Spectrex SharpEye 40/40D-LB UV/IR flame detector is capable of detecting both hydrocarbon fuel and gas fires, as well as fires fueled by Hydrogen, Metal, and inorganic material and responds to flash fires in under 20 msec. The units work with an integrated UV and optical IR sensor together and with the proven record of false alarm immunity they keep a SharpEye on your Safety!

The Ultra Fast Spectrex SharpEye 40/40-D-LB UV/IR flame detector is used and suited for a large variety of applications. Because of the high quality, SIL 3 and DNV approval and MTBF of over 150.000 hours the unit can operate in safety critical applications.
Because of the large variety of substances with a FM performance approval it makes this unit suitable for many indoor applications such as explosives-, and ammunition production, solvent fires and vehicle battery charging stations. Currently the Spectrex SharpEye 40/40-D-LB UV/IR flame detector is used in many indoor safety critical applications where quick and reliable detection is required.
