Spectrex SharpEye 40/40D-M Multi IR Quad-Sense Flame Detector
The Spectrex SharpEye 40/40D-M Multi IR Quad-Sense Flame Detector is the latest Multispectrum flame detector that detects both hydrogen and hydrocarbon fires and is part of the Next generation SharpEye 40/40 series.
The Quad-Sense technology uses four independent IR sensors all placed in the invisible infra-red spectrum to detect hydrocarbon fires as well as Hydrogen fires at the same time. Using this unique technology Spectrex creates an enhanced performance, advanced long-distance detection of hydrocarbon fires up to 90 m while simultaneously detecting a hydrogen plume fire at 50 meters. This is all done with a fast detection speed of typically under 5 seconds as well as responses to flash fires in under 50 msec. The Spectrex SharpEye 40/40-D-M Multi IR Quad-Sense Flame Detector is used and suited for a large variety of applications. Because of the high quality, SIL 3 and DNV approval and MTBF of over 150.000 hours the unit can operate in safety critical applications.
Because of the large variety of substances with an FM performance approval it makes this the hydrogen ready flame detector. Currently the Spectrex 40/40-D-M is the only model on the market with an FM performance approval for both Hydrogen and Hydrocarbon fires.
